Core Resuscitative Skills Training (CREST) Course
About CREST Course
The Core REsuscitative Skills Training (CREST) Course, is aimed at providing doctors with the necessary practical skills in managing critically ill patients. These skills include securing and managing the airway, chest tube insertion, and gaining vascular access (CVP and IA lines).
All these are done through a practical approach, emphasizing hands-on learning of practical skills and practical problems faced when managing these patients. The low participant to tutor ratio allows ample opportunities for hands-on practice, using specially designed mannequins, on procedures such as endotrachael intubation, surgical airway access, chest tube insertions, setting of CVP and IA lines.
This course is specially designed for junior doctors setting out to learn these procedures for the first time, and more senior doctors seeking to refresh these skills.
Upon completion of the course, the participant will be able to:
- Manage the skills with confidence in performing resuscitative procedures on patients
- Equip with the knowledge of managing airway for the critically ill patients
- Overcome challenges in the event of emergency by conducting hands on practice and problem based scenarios during the lesson
Course Fee (Inclusive of Goods & Services Tax, funding from IMET available)
